Incorporate the concepts of genomics in nursing scholarship to promote health equity. Identify the unique opportunities of nursing to integrate genomics advances into practice.

**If you plan to submit an abstract in a content area in which you already have scholarly publications or presentations, please consider submitting your abstract as an Expert Lecture.**

Please be sure to refer to the updated abstract guidelines before preparing and submitting your abstract.

Creating a strong abstract
There are many resources available to help you create a strong abstract by searching Google or YouTube.  If you have specific questions, please contact the Abstract Co-chairs (below).

The Professional Practice Committee (PPC) wants to encourage all nurses in clinical practice to consider submitting an abstract for this year’s ISONG Congress.  Abstracts can focus on clinical topics such as a challenging case study, evidence-based practice in your setting, modifications in your practice due to COVID restrictions, or implementing research findings into practice, to name a few.  Members of the PPC are available to mentor clinical nurses wanting support in submitting an abstract.  We are able to assist with a range of questions including, but not limited to, development of ideas or abstract preparation.

If you think you might be willing and ready to take the next step in your professional development by presenting at ISONG, we are here to help.  Please email events@isong.org and a PPC member will contact you to offer their advice and assistance.

STUDENTS: Announcing the Student Poster Competition! The Congress Planning Committee invites Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree students to submit their work for the Student Poster Competition. Interested students whose abstracts are accepted as posters will present their posters and be judged during the poster reception at the 2024 World Congress. Certificates will be awarded to the first, second, and third place posters. The first place winner will receive a one-year, student membership to ISONG. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience presenting their work and receive recognition for their contributions to genetic nursing science.

If you have any questions regarding abstracts, please contact the 2024 ISONG Congress Abstract Committee:
