Who are the members of ISONG? 

Any registered nurse who has an interest in genetics is welcome to become a member of ISONG. Our membership is diverse and reflects the broad needs of those who have genetic problems. 

Current ISONG members include: 

  • Clinicians

  • Coordinators of public and private programs
  • Educators in the field of nursing and/or genetics
  • Genetic counselors
  • Researchers 
  • (Nursing) Students 


Student Membership

Student membership is for any student who is enrolled full time in a program leading to an academic degree in nursing, genetics, or a related field of study. 

Student Membership Benefits Include:

  • Opportunities for continuing education, mentoring, professional development and networking with genetic nursing colleagues from around the world 
  • Reduce membership fee 
  • Access to late-breaking genetics research, educational programs, job opportunities, and research grant applications
  • Support for students at all levels to engage in genomic topics across disciplines

Global Access Membership 

ISONG is committed to expanding worldwide participation in genomic nursing. To help make membership accessible across regions with differing economic resources, we offer reduced membership rates for individuals residing in low- and middle-income countries as defined by the World Bank Country Income Classification.

How to Join
To determine the membership rate for your country, please refer to the World Bank’s most recent income classification (link below). Then select the corresponding membership level when joining ISONG.
