Genetic Counselor /Advanced Practice Nurse in Genetics

Start Date: ASAP

Position Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing with concentration in Human Genetics. Certification or eligibility for certification in Genetic Counseling or Human Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics , American Board of Genetic Counseling, or International Society of Nurses in Genetics Credentialing Commission. Previous experience in cancer genetics, counseling and/or management of clients with known or suspected inherited risk for cancer is preferred.

Job Description:
Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI), Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Genetic Counselor or Advanced Practice Nurse in Genetics to provide clinical services including genetic and cancer risk assessment, counseling, and testing. The Genetic Counselor will work with clinical and scientific departments across the Institute also participating in educational and research activities in conjunction with the Clinical Genetics Service.
