Graduate Providence | Providence, Rhode Island

On behalf of Laurie Connors, ISONG President, and World Congress Committee members and Co-chairs, and the entire ISONG Board of Directors, we are excited to invite you to the 2023 ISONG World Congress on November 3-5, 2023, in Providence, RI

While the COVID-19 pandemic still affects the world's economy, trade, food supply, transportation, as well as individuals’ lifestyle, we are facing new groundbreaking advances in technologiessuch as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data. All these rapid changes create more challenges in financial resilience, environmental sustainability and healthcare systems including worsening personal shortage and burnout, lack of integration of advances in practice and increasing cost and affordability of healthcare services.

As healthcare professionals, we are embarking on new realities in our personal and professional life. We seek meaningful ways to recover and come out stronger from all these unprecedented changes. Now, more than ever, we need to embrace each other to tackle long-lasting challenges in the healthcare system, including health disparities among those who have been historically underserved, excluded, and experiencing disparities. More than ever, we need to ensure everyone has access to all available advances in an environment where they are treated with dignity and respect to find their full potential.

As the 2023 ISONG World Congress organizing committee, we are all committed to creating a program allowing you to connect with a diverse group of experts and colleagues to build and strengthen the bridges to integrate scientific and technological discoveries in your daily practice, not for some, but for everyone who may benefit. This year's world congress will be an opportunity to celebrate our past achievements, reunite with our friends and extend our networks and collaboratively explore new directions for future nursing research, education, and practice in genomics.

The 2023 ISONG World Congress with the theme “Genomic Nursing: Building and Strengthening Bridges between Advances and Practice” will provide attendees with the opportunity to

  1. Discuss advances in genomic nursing research, education, practice, and policy settings.
  2. Incorporate the concepts of genomics in nursing scholarship to promote health equity.
  3. Identify the unique opportunities of nursing to integrate genomics advances into practice.

We look forward to welcoming you on November 3-5, 2023, in Providence, RI, the most picturesque state in the US.
